Friday's Workout

Hi Guys,

Here's a workout for today or sometime this weekend:

With a running clock, do 1 pullup the first minute, 2 the second, 3 the third until you can't complete the required number within the minute

Post the number of complete rounds to the comments. I want to see some comments this time.

If you need to, do jumping pullups. If you're doing these and you get to 20 minutes, you can stop.

Also if you can do full pullups and want to start with those and switch to jumping after a few rounds, that would be good. Don't do strict pullups for 3 rounds and then fail and leave.

If you want to try to learn to do kipping pullups, check these links:
Part 1
Part 2

You can also find more info on the kipping pullups on the crossfit site.

Enjoy

  2. Jeff will be out this weekend at a fencing tournament, but if you guys are planning on doing this today, you can come in tonight (Friday) from 6:30-7:30. I will be there and I can show you guys the kipping pull-up form (although I'm not quite as good as Jeff is).

In any case, this is a fun one.

  3. I did this one for all 20 rounds. I was able to do normal pullups for the the first 4 minutes, and after that I switched to assisted pullups. Regardless, this one brutalized me, but it was awesome.

  6. I unfortunately did the very thing warned in the post, having almost no ability to do pull ups I went for about three minutes and shot my arm, so I did a more all around arm workout. I later discovered the gravitron thingy that reduces weight, next time I'll probably just start there.
